Our Technologies We deploy our technologies through companies already working in the energy sector. Technologies are available for license or sale. We also welcome enquiries from companies interested in trialling our technologies with a view to license or sale.
Proof of concept has been demonstrated for all technologies; the majority have been tested under a variety of conditions in the lab and several field trials are currently underway. Our technologies are specifically developed to:

- Be sensitive
- Offer improved accuracy
- Be suitable for onsite analysis

LUX Tag™ : For simple, sensitive and more accurate determination of the presence and concentration of treatment chemicals at the point of sampling. The treatment chemicals are selectively labelled with small molecule tags that can be detected with LUX Tag™ detection reagents. Advantages include reduction in sample interferences that can cause detection problems with more commonly used fluorescent tages. For more information please click here .
LUX Tracer™ : A portfolio of environmentally friendly chemical tracers that can be detected at low concentrations (parts per billion) and which allows analysis to be conducted quickly and effectively onsite using LUX Tracer™ detection reagents. For more information please click here .
OMMICA™ : A simple, accurate and sensitive method for anlysing the concentration of the thermodynamic hydrate inhibitors methanol and monoethylene glycol, in water, crude oil and condensate. For more information please click here .
CoMic™ : A technology for ensuring effective corrosion inhibitor concentrations. CoMic™ is an entirely novel concept in chemical monitoring and is based on detecting corrosion inhibitor micelles in oilfield fluids. These are only present above the minimum inhibitory concentration when bulk protection has been conferred and so they are a simple and direct measurement of corrosion protection. For onsite use. LUX Monitor™ : For monitoring of oil-in-water. Involves the detection of LUX Markers™ which produce a signal in the presence of hydrocarbons and has demonstrated promising results for water-in-oil measurements.
